PSSSB Group D Exam Date 2026
The Punjab Group D written examination is scheduled for Sunday, 25 October 2026.
The examination is part of the recruitment process for Group D posts in various state government departments.
The examination centre, reporting time and shift details should be checked on the individual admit card once released.
Why Downloading the Admit Card Early Matters
Candidates may be allotted examination centres away from their home districts.
Downloading the hall ticket in advance allows time to arrange transport, identify the examination centre and correct any problems with the document.
Candidates should not assume that the examination will take place in their home district.

Details to Check on the Hall Ticket
After downloading the admit card, candidates should verify:
- Candidate’s Name
- Roll Number
- Application Number
- Photograph
- Examination Date
- Examination Centre
- Reporting Time
- Examination Shift
- Post Name
- Advertisement Number
- Examination Instructions
If the hall ticket contains an error, candidates should contact the board through its official communication channels before the examination.
Documents Required for the PSSSB Group D Exam
Candidates should prepare the documents specified in their admit-card instructions.
Generally, these include a printed hall ticket and an original valid photo identity document.
Candidates may also need additional documents or photographs if specifically requested by the board.
The final list of permitted and required items should be taken from the official admit card.
PSSSB Group D Exam Pattern 2026
The examination is expected to be conducted offline using objective-type questions.
Candidates should consult the official syllabus and examination scheme for the precise subject distribution, total marks, duration and negative-marking rules.
Avoid relying on exam patterns from older Group D recruitment cycles without checking the current Advertisement 04/2026 instructions.
Preparation Advice for the Final Days
With the examination scheduled for 25 October, candidates should concentrate on revising the notified syllabus, practising objective questions and checking their examination arrangements.
A practical revision schedule can include Punjabi language topics, general knowledge, reasoning and other subjects included in the official syllabus.
Candidates should not spend the final days studying unrelated topics that are outside the board’s published examination scheme.
Do Not Confuse Advertisement 04/2026 With 08/2025
This is an important distinction for candidates searching for the latest hall ticket.
PSSSB conducted an earlier Group D recruitment examination under Advertisement 08/2025, covering 406 vacancies, in April 2026.
Some search results for that earlier recruitment still appear online.
The current examination discussed here relates to Advertisement 04/2026, with 2,098 vacancies and a written examination scheduled for 25 October 2026.
Always check the advertisement number and examination date before downloading any document.
What If the Admit Card Link Is Not Working?
If the hall-ticket link does not open, candidates should first check whether PSSSB has officially activated it.
If the link is active but the page is unavailable, try reopening the website after a short interval or using an updated browser.
If login details are rejected, verify the registration number and use the official recovery process where available.
Do not share your login credentials with unknown individuals offering to download the hall ticket for a fee.
